Support Groups We Currently Offer

No referral required and no cost to attend. The groups are at Mental Health America of Abilene, 333 Orange Street, Abilene. East door.

Bipolar-Depression Support Group
6 – 7 p.m., meets every Tuesday, The group is for those who have bipolar disorder and would like peer support.

Chronic Pain and Depression Group
11 a.m. – 12 p.m., meets every Thursday. The group is for those who have chronic pain and depression and would like peer support.

“Experiences” Hearing Voices Network Support Group                                      4 – 5 p.m., meets every WednesdayA charter group of Hearing Voices Network supporting anyone who have had experiences with voice hearing, visions, and other unusual or extreme experiences. (Nonparticipants cannot come to “observe” this group.)

Open Support Group for Those with Mental Illness
1 – 2 p.m., meets every Thursday. This group is open for anyone who is in need of a sense of community among others who understand the challenges of living with a serious mental illness.

Schizophrenia Support Group
1 – 2 p.m., meets every Monday. This group is for those who have schizophrenia and would like peer support.
